The Pterroir-Dactyl has evolved from a Sauvignon Blanc to bright acid, dry Rose. This outstanding Rose is produced in the Tavelian method of pressing whole grape clusters of Mourvedre and Tempranillo with just a splash of Pinot Noir that have been allowed to ripen to the ideal level in order to enhance the bright aromatics and razor sharp acidity. It all works together to make an tremendous and unique Rose that even red wine drinkers can appreciate.
The Pterrior-Dactyl is a bright, refreshing single varietal Sauvignon Blanc from Andrew Hoxsey's Morgaen Lee vineyard in Yountville, which is known for producing one of the best Sauvignon Blancs in Napa. Aged 6 months in stainless steel and neutral French oak barrels, it is a smooth drinking, satiny, mineral driven Sauvignon Blanc reminiscent of New Zealand interpretations.
